Seismic Analysis and Design in S-FRAME presents an in-depth explanation of how to conduct seismic investigations of structures using S-FRAME Analysis R11.1.14. Topics include Earthquake Engineering, Response Spectrum Analysis, Equivalent Static Force Procedures (ESFP and ELFP), rigid and semi-rigid Diaphragms, Operational and Functional Components, Time History Analysis, Material plasticity and damping, Performance-based Design, Pushover and Quasi-static Analysis. Each course section includes demonstrations of fully worked-out examples drawn from industrial and commercial building applications. Discussions on the merits of the various analysis procedures, their relationship to seismic design codes, their expected accuracy and pitfalls are the focus of many of the practical examples we demonstrate.
