TEDDS^®  (The Engineer’s Calculation Pad)

TEDDS^® is the ultimate productivity tool for the day-to-day repetitive calculations.  TEDDS replaces hand written calculations and is a standard tool for thousands of engineers around the world.

 

Using the Library

The TEDDS^® product includes a comprehensive and ever-expanding library of civil and structural engineering calculations for a variety of materials and structural forms.  TEDDS^® comes with the most appropriate engineering library for your region (Australia, Asia, Canada, Great Britain and USA).  These libraries are frequently expanded through our monthly update service.  The calculations are easy to use, flexible and produce high quality documents that can be easily checked.  Calculations range in complexity from a simple code check to complete automatic calculations for steel, concrete, timber, masonry panels, pile caps, retaining walls, etc.  TEDDS^® also includes a section properties calculator where you can create complex sections constructed from simple geometric shapes including holes.  Calculated properties include: area, radius of gyration, plastic section modulus and elastic section modulus.  TEDDS^® also includes a comprehensive continuous beam analysis utility which includes: single or multiple spans, cantilevers, full range of load types, fixed or free supports, automatic patterned loading, force and deflection diagrams, and tabulated results.

 

Writing Your Own Calculations

TEDDS^® allows you to write your own calculations in Microsoft Word^®.  TEDDS^® provides ultimate flexibility to you to write your own calculations and/or compile multiple calculations within one project document.  Calculations can be simply typed directly into the document including variables, formulae and units which TEDDS^® will automatically resolve.  When the inevitable design changes occur, simple amend the calculations and TEDDS^® will update all the associated math and final results.  TEDDS^® helps standardize all your project documentation.  Multiple calculations can be combined within one document with values from one calculation easily feeding the next.  Your calculations can include: notes, pictures, tables, spreadsheets, and even results from other software—what ever can be included in a Word^® document.  TEDDS^® helps you quickly produce very neatly presented, accurate electronic project documents that can be instantly updated when design changes occur.  TEDDS^® saves time, provides excellent calculation presentation while reducing the risk for errors.
