S-FRAME 2017 Release July 16, 2017

S-FRAME 2017 is a major release with expanded capabilities designed tomake it easier for users to model complex geometry, generate more accurate analysis results, integrate model data from other 3rd party software plus more.

Summary of S-FRAME 2017 Release new capabilites.

• Automatically convert 1-D beams members into 2D shell elemnts for enhanced analysis results.

• Caluclate Pass-Through/Transfer forces at connecting members using the new pass thourgh force tool

• Model complex geometry easier with improved mesh algorithms that identify and correct for overlapping panels, etc.

ICD (Integrated Concrete Design) additions

New support for continuous concrete beam design and detailing

Shear and Torsion evaluation improvements/corrections for beam and column sections that impact ACI, CSA, BS, and CP design codes

Design of Walls to Eurocode 2 - EN 1992-1-1:2004

S-STEEL (Integrated Steel Design) additions

Torsion Design now supported (including warping effects) for AISC, CISC, and Euro codes for open and closed sections

Support for AISC 360-16 LRFD + ASD design codes

S-FOUNDATION Professional 2017 Release

S-FOUNDATION Professional 2017 includes new soil profile features and advanced pile analysis and design capabilities.
Release date Feb 10, 2107

S-FOUNDATION Professional includes advanced Pile Foundation analysis and design.
New soil definition features enable the engineer to generate soil profiles and soil curves used for Pile Foundation design.
S-FOUNDATION automatically defines and meshes the Pile foundation fea model with soil springs along each individual pile depth.
Pile member meshing can be controlled by spacing, count or soil layer.
Design using Linear soil springs or non-linear pile soil springs from Lateral (P-Y), Friction (T-Z) and Bearing (Q-Z) soil curves.
Soil curve data can be user entered or automatically generated from user defined soil profiles.


Structural design checks include Axial forces vs Moment interaction with consideration for Biaxial Bending/Biaxial Shear, Axial Force and Torsion at stations along pile depths. GeoTechnical Design Checks include
Axial Force, Axia Deflect and Lateral Deflection from Piles modeled as Members with intermediate linear/non-linear Soil Springs.

Foundation result diagrams for deflections, soil resistances, forces (Axial, Shear, Moment, Torsion) and Stress, and Soil curves.
